Pardon my English!

**********************************************************************
Well, as they say, the world is a global village therefore, being English the commercial language used worldwide, it's easier to make "business" in Shakespeare's language than in Camões's one! ;)
My business is to improve my English so that I can make some use of what I have learned. I have studied the language for many years and I think my reading and listening comprehension skills are at a good level , but I have not that much speaking or writing practise.
So, here I am with the purpouse of improving my English skills because I'm fed up to listen to my 8 years old cousin saying that I'd be better of speaking portuguese... Ok, she's in fact british but I want to be able to order my Macmenu on my own! :)

What a great movie...

... I saw last nigth! I'm talking about The Mirror Has Two Faces with Barbra Streisand and Jeff Bridges. I love both actors and the story it's funny and very well played. I had just a terrific time and a lot of laugh! Not that it is a strictly comic film, but it represents really well life in itself.

"We all want to fall in love. Why?
Because that experience makes us feel completely alive,
where every sense is heightened,
and every emotion is magnified.
Our everyday reality is shattered
and we are flung into the heavens.
It may only last a moment, an hour, or an afternoon,
but that doesn't diminish its value,
because we are left with memories
that we treasure for the rest of our lives.
(...)
it´s because as some of you may already know ...
While it does last, it feels fucking great."

hi!
Thnaks for sharing. I will look into it as soon as i can.
I am reading "Prince of Tides" right, whose movie version also stars Barbra Streisand. Still haven't seen the movie, but will look for it soon!

Another movie I would suggest, which I haven't seen either, but have just finished reading the book: how to make an American Quilt. Apparently it is as good as the book.
I found the book wonderful!

I haven't seen that movie, but I know it, because the other day it was airing at cable tv but it was almost finishing... I'll try to see it properly!
