Paying the right price?
Reading the "Not buying it" book, I've become more aware of what it mean to buy something. Do we do it because we need it or mainly to send a message to others?! For example, do we buy a Adidas tennis shoes because it is really made of better material or because it sends a better image of you to the world?!
Taking that, here's the real price make-up of a €100 sport shoe.
You may say that buying is only to satisfy oneself... Here's the words of the rabi Harold Kushner: "Our souls do not hunger for fame, comfort, wealth or power. These rewards create the same amount of problems that they solve. Our souls hunger for meaning, in a sense of finding a way of living where our lives have a reason, so that the world is, at least, a little bit different because we passed through it."
